This resource is an adaptation of the “E-Module for Evidence-Informed HIV Rehabilitation (E-Module)”, which was developed for Canadian rehabilitation providers and researchers1. The E-Module was originally published in 2011 and has been updated bi-annually as funding allowed. In 2015, the E-Module was streamlined into the format of an interactive online tool entitled: “How Rehabilitation Can Help People Living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa: An Evidence-Informed Tool for Rehab Providers”. The full history of the methods to create this evidence-informed, consensus-based online tool can be viewed here: “How Rehabilitation Can Help People Living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa: An Evidence-Informed Tool for Rehab Providers”.
In 2021, short term funding was secured to create an interactive online tool for Canadian rehabilitation providers. This tool was created using an expedited consensus- and evidence-informed process with an interdisciplinary Advisory Committee consisting of rehabilitation professionals, patient advocates, researchers and other content experts.
